SMDC Heart and Vascular Center is the largest diagnostic, therapeutic, interventional and cardiothoracic surgery program in the region and the second largest program in Minnesota. PRACTICE SPECIFICS
- Join 1 Cardiac & 1 General Thoracic surgeon, 3 CT PAs, 18 Cardiologists and 16 cardiology NP/PAs at one of the largest cardiac programs in Minnesota
- State-of-the-art imaging in 4 cath labs; 2 EP labs; 1 interventional endovascular suite and 2 dedicated cardiac surgery operating rooms
- Approximately 400 cardiac and 200 thoracic cases per year. Over 6,000 catheterizations and coronary interventions performed annually
- Innovative programs including Heart Failure Program, EECP, Atrial Fib, Women's Heart, Heart to Heart, Cardiac Rehab, Chest Pain, and Robotic Heart Surgery
- St. Mary's Medical Center, a 330-bed tertiary care, Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital
- Level II Trauma Center

REQUIREMENTS
- BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgery; Successful completion of accredited residency.
- Endovascular training and skills preferred
- Prefer physician with over 5-8 years of practice and significant experience as primary surgeon with aortic and thoracic cases, including complex aneurysms, dissections, redo valves and coronary bypass.
- Desires someone with experience in Heart Failure, VAD's, minimally invasive and other complex thoracic/aortic work.
