Really, how is the weather?
It's not as cold as you might think—or as snowy. Sure, January can get a little chilly, but we truly experience four seasons a year in Minnesota and Wisconsin—green, gorgeous, comfortable springs, warm and sunny summers, and beautiful, crisp falls.
I'm not really an outdoor type. Will I fit in? How can I spend my free time?
While outdoor recreational opportunities abound, you aren't limited to them. The region has a thriving arts scene, including several theater companies staging shows from the comedic to the dark, a nationally honored ballet company, a symphony orchestra, intriguing museums, and more. You can shop or dine at any one of hundreds of unique, often locally owned establishments.
There are also countless opportunities to lend your talents to a good cause. Our region's residents are famously engaged in their communities, so from packing boxes at a food bank to serving on a nonprofit's board of directors, you'll find a niche—or just kick back and enjoy the slower pace.

Across the region, you'll find plenty of quality homes at prices lower than the national average. And options range from new construction to historic homes.
